Universal Marquees Equipment

We provide clearspan frame marquees, sizes ranging from 3m, 6m, 9m & 12m widths. We can cater for both small and large corporate events and wedding marquees. The marquees are state of the art structures that are clean, fresh and impressive.

Our marquees enable flexibility in installation and layout and strength against the elements. We can supply fully fitted marquees with linings, furniture, flooring, marquee heating, doors and marquee lighting.

We have various kinds of entrance marquees, walkways and catering marquees which you can choose from.

Linings & Swags

Your ideas may be bold or subtle, simple or fancy; the canvas is always blank to begin with. Our classic ivory linings may be used Linings and Swags Somerset Marquees alone to create an elegant and beautiful setting or can be complemented with a range of marquee accessories, marquee lighting, flooring and coloured draping options, creating that personal touch.

Flooring

Flooring can be used either practically or effectively to provide a firm surface for your guests from grass or mud, or to provide colour and a luxurious effect in the marquee.

Matting – Our neutral coloured matting creates an excellent surface on lawn and field grass, especially for that rustic marquee look. We lay a plastic underlay to protect the marquee flooring from the weather.

Carpet – We have a standard neutral coloured carpet that can be fixed onto grass. Alternatively, for hard flooring, a choice of colour can be used, which is always new for all our marquee clients.

Hard flooring – This option provides a flat, hard surface throughout the marquee. This minimises any undulations in the ground and is great in the winter and bad weather. With a coloured carpet, suited to your personal taste, it creates an impressive setting within the marquee.

Dance floor – Our parquet and black & white dance floors create an enjoyable and exhilarating area within the marquee so you can party the night away.

Furniture

We have a wide range of marquee furniture hire to suit your requirements, to dress the inside of the marquee.

Chairs – Our white bistros chairs are cost effective, sturdy and fresh-looking. They can be provided with or without coloured seat pads. Our wooden gold gilt chairs are neutral coloured, stylish and creates a grand effect in the marquee. Our chivari chairs are elegant and classic looking.

Tables – We have various shapes and sizes of tables The 3' round table can be used for the wedding cake, sweets, or cheeseboard. The 5'6 round table is ideal for a social arrangement, seating 8-10 guests. The 6' round table is great for the larger events, seating 10-12 guests. The 6' trestle table can be used for the top table, bar, buffet and catering table.

Staging – We provide black staging for a band or speeches which comes in 8' x 4' panels and is 1' high.

Double Doors – To create a marquee entrance and to keep the warmth in we can provide aluminium framed double doors with glass windows.

Other furniture We can provide – outdoor furniture, wooden chairs, bar unit, emergency exit lights, seating plan stand.

Lighting

Marquee lighting can be used to create the décor and atmosphere you require within your marquee. Up lighters are used to generate an effect around the sides of the marquee and can be coloured to create a certain ambience.

Chandeliers, hung from the apex of the marquee, produce a classic look, popular for weddings. To create that party atmosphere on the dance floor we can provide a disco ball.

Outdoor lighting enhances outside features, such as the front of a house. We have festoon lights that create a lit walkway, when connected from a building to the marquee entrance.

We have fairy lights that can be wrapped around a tree or to the inside roof of the marquee.

Outdoor floodlights can light up a building, tree or feature creating a ‘wow' factor outside the marquee.

General Marquee Equipment

Universal Marquees can provide everything needed for your marquee for both summer and winter marquee events:

Electrics – Our comprehensive marquee site visit will assess what kind of power requirements you will need but final specification will be dependant on the catering and music requirements.

We will work closely with these companies that you will be using, i.e. caterers, bands, DJs to produce your exact marquee requirements.

We can provide all the cabling and power extensions required for your marquee events as well as power distribution boards of both 16Amp and 32Amp. All your cabling, sockets and power leads will be incorporated within the quote.

Generator – We can provide you with a generator if the power requirements and location of your marquee suggests that you need one.

Heaters – With the unpredictable weather, a marquee heater may be necessary and can be requested nearer the time (subject to availability). Our marquee heaters are positioned outside the marquee with a duct that distributes clean, odourless heat throughout the marquee.

Inside the marquee you have your own temperature gauge to regulate the temperature. Patio heaters can be used when required outside the marquee.

Toilets - Portaloos and luxury toilets can be provided to suit your requirements. The luxury toilets come clean and fully equipped with wash hand basins, running water, drying facilities, mirrors, elegant lighting throughout, and music!
